Star RM is Ryan Maconochie. I was born in Detroit, and currently reside in Chicago. There was a little Dublin and Florence in between. Along the way, I have absorbed the minutiae of maps, watches, skateboards, coastlines, flags, candy and wine labels. I've spent the last decade working in various aspects of marketing and advertising as an art director for clients such as Ford, Disney and Miller. My commercial work is buried somewhere within this website, but the focus here is my personal explorations with writing and design. Self-produced artwork will be released through the Star RM website, and I will continue to cater to clients seeking creative inspiration.
